Richard J. Siebenaler, 82

Richard J. Siebenaler, age 82, of Blakeslee, Ohio, passed away at 12:40 A.M. on Friday, July 3, 2020, at Parkview Randallia Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, after a brief illness. Mr. Siebenaler was a 1955 graduate of Edon High School and was employed at Trim Trends Automotive as a supervisor, retiring in 2001 with forty-four years of service to the company. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #3883 and had served on the Florence Township Fire Department for twenty years. He was a diehard Detroit Tigers and Notre Dame fan. He was devoted to his family.

Richard J. Siebenaler was born on August 15, 1937, near Edon, Ohio, the son of Albert J. and Eulalah O. (Krill) Siebenaler. He married Mary Ann Harrison on March 9, 1985, in Blakeslee and she survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are their children, Teresa (Brian) Blakley, of Brooklyn, Michigan, Thomas Siebenaler, of Edon, Ohio, Donna (Charles) Dossett, of Hudson, Michigan, Gail Siebenaler, of Edon, Mark (Kathie) Siebenaler, of Tampa, Florida, Ray (Teresa) Price, of Edon, Jenni (Larry) Wanless, of Delta, Ohio, Ty (Dani) Siebenaler, of Kansas City, Kansas, and Amber (Philip )Teufel, of Cincinnati, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Geraldine (Joseph) Fettig, of Lebanon, Indiana, and Mary Alice (David) McAlpin, of Auburn, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Scott Siebenaler.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, 2020, from 4:00-6:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Blakeslee with Reverend Daniel Borgelt officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Blakeslee.

Memorials are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Due to the ongoing pandemic restrictions, recommended social distancing and occupancy for the funeral home and church will be observed. The wearing of masks is encouraged.
