The Ridge Project is among three northwest Ohio organizations awarded more than $3.7 million in new federal funding aimed at strengthening families by supporting fathers. The grants, announced Monday by Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH-09), come from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Administration for Children and Families through its Responsible Fatherhood Program. Kaptur said the investment will provide fathers with tools for responsible parenting, healthier relationships and economic stability – all factors she described as crucial to the region’s future.
