Riedel to run for Ohio Senate.

Republican Craig Riedel of Defiance has announced his candidacy for the Ohio Senate’s 1st District. A former state representative for Ohio’s 82nd House District, Riedel will be a candidate in the May 5, 2026 GOP primary. He is seeking the seat now held by Rob McColley of Napoleon, whose four-year term will expire at the end of 2026. McColley cannot run again due to term limits.
