Robert D. Fockler, age 74, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at his home. Mr. Fockler was a self-employed contractor. He was known as a painter, handy-man and mechanic. Robert enjoyed doing puzzles, fishing, old country music and country-western movies.
Robert Dean Fockler was born on July 27, 1939, in Sherwood, Ohio, the son of Carl R. and Evelyn Mae (Blosser) Fockler. He married Beulah Killion on September 24, 1966, in Sherwood, and she survives.
Robert is survived by two daughters, Carla (Donovan) Tressler, of Ney, Ohio, and Julie (Matt) Lukac, of Wadsworth, Ohio; a grandson, Eddie Tressler, of Glasgow, Kentucky; special friends, Meryl Seibert and Skye Caryer, both of Bryan; brothers, David Fockler, of Defiance, Ohio, Ron Fockler, of Bryan, Lynn (Ann) Fockler, of Defiance, and Marvin (Angie) Fockler, of Defiance; sisters, Nancy Mock, of Defiance, Sharon (Dave) Bidlack, of Cecil, Ohio, and Beth (Steve) Long, of Defiance; and sister-in-law, Sandy Fockler, of Bryan. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Fockler; and brother-in-law, James Mock.
Funeral services for Robert D. Fockler will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor John MacFarlane officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 1:00-5:00 P.M.
