Roland O. Demaline, 91

Roland O. Demaline, age 91, of Wauseon, passed away Monday morning, April 16, 2018, at Fulton Manor in Wauseon. Prior to his retirement he had owned and operated Roland Demaline and Sons Construction for many years. He had also owned and operated Broken Arrow Taxidermy in Wauseon and been an area farmer for over 40 years.

Roland was born in Wauseon on April 19, 1926, the son of Everett and Myrtle (Mortiz) Demaline. On February 10, 1946, he married Ila Mae Ross, and she preceded him in death in 2014. Roland was a member of Crossroads Evangelical Church in Wauseon. He was an outdoorsman and loved his hunting trips. As a younger man he enjoyed playing softball and coaching women’s softball. He also enjoyed bowling.

Surviving are children, Kim and Jill (Lemley) Demaline, Kevin and Kimberly (Good) Demaline, Michelle and David Myers, and Amy and Michael Morr; grandchildren, Kyle (Kimberly) Demaline, Kelly (Bryan) McClain, Taylor Myers, Matt (Mischa) Okuley, Katlyn, Breanna and Garrett Demaline, Kelly (Nate) Gericke, Spencer Morr and Samantha Morr, and Mackenzie and Riley McClain; great-grandchildren, Emma and Jase Demaline, Mason, Skylar, Ian and Gavin Gericke, Mitchell, Makayla, Seth and Meridith Okuley, Jess Okuley; great-great-grandson, Greyson Okuley. He was preceded in death by his wife; two sons, Randy and Jeffery Demaline, grandson, Kristopher Demaline, and sister, Phyllis Von Deylen.

Visitation for Roland will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 19, 2018, in the Chapel at Crossroads Evangelical Church. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, also at the church, with Pastor Kevin Clark, officiating. Interment will be in the Zion Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Fulton County Sportsmans Club. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com.
