Romes On Leave

A Williams County sheriff’s lieutenant is on administrative leave, pending a criminal and internal investigation. Lt. Jeff Romes is a sheriff’s office employee who is also assigned as the county’s weight enforcement motor carrier officer through the Williams County Engineer’s Office, which pays part of his salary. Officials are mum on the reason.
