The Bryan Police Department says a warning about men approaching women and children in Bryan’s parks, which has been circulating on Facebook, appears to be false. The rumor purports that two men in a tan vehicle — one dressed as a woman wearing a floppy, white hat and pink shoes — have approached several women with children in city parks. According to Bryan Police Dispatcher Dana Andrews, Facebook users said they reported it to the police department but there’s no proof of any such activity. Andrews added it appears to be nothing more than an urban legend.
