Employers in three counties in the region get 100 thousand dollars in state grants to increase workplace safety. The money from the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation will be used to buy equipment that prevents accidents, lowering injury risks to worker. In Paulding County, Scott Village was awarded $40,000 to purchase a power cot, power load system, and one 32-inch wide evacuation hover jack. Ottawa, in Putnam County received $27,166.75. The grant will be used purchase a scissor lift and an electric mast crane. Several businesses in Williams County got grants too, including the city of Bryan…that’s for one battery-powered unmanned aircraft drone with camera and remote control.
