Sales tax holiday in Ohio coming up August 5 – 7

Holiday shopping bargains are not normally found in the summer months but for the second year in a row, the state of Ohio has enacted a sales tax holiday for Ohio beginning at 12.01 a.m. Aug. 5 and ending at 11:59 p.m. Aug. 7. While the crowds may not be quite what you’d expect during Black Friday door buster sales, many stores are still expecting high traffic weekends. The intention of the sales tax holiday is to boost sales while giving taxpayers a break on back to school items.
