School Finally Agrees To Provide Necessary Technology To Students

The Millcreek-West Unity Board of Education made a big move to bring the district into the twenty first century at Monday’s meeting.

Students at Hilltop Junior High and High School will finally be able to compete on the same level as students at most other schools across the country.

The school board voted last evening, to purchase three hundred Chromebook laptops. The purchase means every student in grades 7 through 12 will have access to one.

The cost of the purchase was $31,915 for three years, and payments will be made with grant funds, leaving the general fund unaffected.
