Sen. Brown comments on President Biden’s budget proposal.

In Ohio budget news, Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) recently commented on President Joe Biden’s budget proposal and discussed state wins in the recently-passed Senate Appropriations bill. Recently, Biden released a budget proposal that would decrease deficits by $3 trillion over a decade, according to the AP. It would raise tax revenues by $4.9 trillion during that time and use just under $2 trillion to fund different programs with the remainder used to reduce deficit. When asked about the proposal, Brown said Congress “needs to do its job.” According to an article posted by the Bryan Times, “This will be debated,” he said. “I’m always working with the other side across the aisle to make sure this stuff happens in the right way.”
