Defiance County seniors are all invited for a healthy and informative Tuesday at the Health Expo. The expo will be held tomorrow from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Defiance County Senior Center at 140 E. Broadway Ave. in Defiance.
The Health Expo is a free heath fair with a continental breakfast, free lunch at noon, four informative speakers, various health and wellness checks, more than 30 vendors and door prizes being given away all day long.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. with a continental breakfast, and a talk by attorney Steve Hubbard at 9:30 a.m. about guardianships and power of attorney complexities. Other topics will include what is involved in healthy eating, pre-planning funerals, and some of the tricky frauds and scams that are carried out against seniors.
In between the talks, seniors can check out the large number of vendors who will be at the Health Expo.
Legal Aid and the Alzheimer’s Association will also be present and there will be Zumba and yoga demonstrations during lunch.
Senior center officials are asking, but not requiring, those who are planning to attend to RSVP the senior center at 419–782-3257.
