Sex Offender Sought

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office is hunt­ing for a non-compliant sex offender.

An arrest war­rant out of Steuben Supe­rior Court has been issued for 26-year-old Corey Wits­man, who police say failed to reg­is­ter as a sex offender.

Steuben County court doc­u­ments show that Wits­man was charged in Decem­ber 2012 in con­nec­tion with an inci­dent involv­ing a 15-year-old girl that he met on Face­book.

Wits­man is five-feet-ten inches tall and weighs 165 pounds. He has hazel eyes and short auburn col­ored hair and was known to have a goa­tee.
