Sheila Marie Cottrell, 53

Sheila Marie Cottrell, age 53, of Edgerton, Ohio, died on Sunday, January 29, 2017, in her home. Mrs. Cottrell was a 1982 graduate of Edgerton High School and had formerly worked at the Edgerton Locker and was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and sister. She loved animals and enjoyed raising Jack Russell Terriers, tinkering in her barn and gardening with her mother every year. A nurturing, loving woman, she loved being with her family, especially her grandkids.

Sheila M. Cottrell was born on October 7, 1963, in Hicksville, Ohio, the daughter of Virgil and Phyllis J. (Newland) Patrick. She married Dorlyn Cottrell, Jr. on August 27, 1986, in Hicksville, Ohio, and he survives.

She is also survived by two daughters, Jessie (and husband, Quinten Myers) Cottrell, of Bryan, Ohio, and Jamie (and husband, Kyle Yoder) Cottrell, of Stryker, Ohio; two granddaughters, Kara and Laurie Yoder; one grandson, Jerry Myers; her mother, Phyllis Patrick, of Edgerton; one sister, Lois Patrick, of Edgerton; one brother, Virgil Eugene Patrick, of Edgerton; and her beloved dog, “Whiner.” She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Patrick, in 2000; and a sister, Lisa Marie Patrick.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2017, from 1:00-4:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Services will follow at 5:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Marc Tingle officiating. Private interment will take place at a later date.

Memorials are requested to the Williams County Humane Society.
