Sherwood man appeared in Defiance Municipal Court on a felony charge

A Sherwood man appeared in Defiance Municipal Court Wednesday morning for an initial appearance on a felony charge. 57 year old Jimmy Pelliccia of U.S. 127, appeared on one count of felony rape. Bond was set at $500,000. Deputies alleged that Pelliccia engaged in sexual conduct with two Indiana minors under 13 years of age. His arraignment was continued until 8:15 a.m. Friday. Defiance County Sheriff Doug Engel noted that a case file also was sent to Defiance County Prosecutor Morris Murray’s office for presentation to a future grand jury.
