Smith Indicted

Thomas Smith, of Toledo, accused of stabbing and killing a Montpelier woman, is indicted on for murder and more. Investigators say Smith attacked Danialle Swan…stabbing her several times in the chest and abdomen. This all happened at a Toledo gas station. We have now learned Smith had been held on pending assault charges but was released on bond a week prior to the stabbing. Smith fled the scene on foot initially, but was tackled and held by multiple bystanders who witnessed the attack.
