St John’s holding italian-style fundraiser

What’s more fun than eating delicious food and raising money at the same time? That’s what’s happening at St John Lutheran School in Defiance this Saturday evening. The 2nd annual Evening with Friends is hoping to raise $30,000 with over half of that money to go to scholarships. The fundraiser will be at VFW Post 3360 on Clinton Street in Defiance. They will be serving italian food, with live and silent auctions. Last year, the event raised $23,000. Instead of a set admission price, they are accepting freewill donations at the door. For that, the dinner features spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, salad, bread, drinks and dessert.
