Stabbing Leads To Arrest

A 21 year old Garrett man is in the DeKalb County Jail after he was arrested by Indiana State Police following a stabbing. Investigators told reporters Justin Shutt and his mother were involved in a verbal argument at a Center Street address in Waterloo. Shutt’s step-father intervened…that’s when Shutt produced a pocket knife and stabbed him in the left arm. Shutt faces battery charges. The victim was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.
