Standoff Leads To Explosion

Multiple units respond to a large structure fire in Swan Creek Township, following a domestic dispute and standoff with officers. Deputies arrived at a home on US-20, they removed a woman and two children from the area soon after they arrived. The suspect then barricaded himself inside the home. Deputies attempted to enter, but smelled gasoline inside and retreated. Afterward, deputies unsuccessfully tried to negotiate with the suspect. Soon, an explosion rocks the building and the surrounding area, leaving nearby buildings shaking.
