June’s jobless rates went up slightly across Southwest Michigan. St. Joseph County actually saw a slight drop from May to June, that’s according to the Department of Technology, Management and Budget. The jobless rate was 3.8 percent, down from 3.9 in May. That’s lower than the June 2016 number which was 4.3 percent. Branch County’s went from 3.8 percent in May to 4.1 percent in June. Cass County also saw an increase from May to June, going from 3.8 to an even 4 percent.
