Some tax relief may be on the way for Ohio residents.
Sen. Kevin Bacon, a Defiance native who now represents a Columbus-area district is making a proposal in which he proposes to save people money on back to school supplies beginning next year.
Bacon said his proposal would save consumers about $78 million each year and help families purchase supplies before the start of the school year at either a reduced tax rate, or totally tax free.
