Thomas M Nolan, 65

Thomas M Nolan was born on October 2nd, 1955 in Louisville Kentucky to the late Lucille Hartman and Robert Nolan. He grew up in Louisville, Kentucky before joining the Navy for 6 years, obtaining a bachelor’s degree, and then becoming an environmental engineer. In 1997 he married Laura Gordon and raised a daughter and son in Whitehouse, Ohio. Surviving is wife Laura of Whitehouse, Ohio, daughter Shelby of Fairborn, Ohio, and son Roy of Maumee, Ohio.

Tom was a devoted father, loving husband, mentor to many, and loyal friend with a sharp wit and tremendous sense of humor. His work ethic was unmatched, there wasn’t much he didn’t know how to fix, and he was always willing to help family and friends. He loved his children very much and enjoyed driving his daughter Shelby to school and watching her excel at college as well as numerous sporting events. He taught his son Roy how to shoot, hunt, and be a good man.

An avid outdoorsman, Tom spent over 40 years of deer hunting seasons in Zaleski State Forest with his friends and family. He very much enjoyed reloading, working on, and shooting firearms as well as brewing his own beer. Cooking for family and friends was one of his favorite past times, although sometimes it was a bit spicy! Tom experienced many adventures camping with his horse Pandero and spending time with his dog Bandit. The family and close friends plan to bring his ashes back to his favorite hunting place this fall.

Anyone who knew Tom would agree he was an extremely tough and resilient man who didn’t always talk alot but when he did, you knew it mattered. He will surely be missed.

Per Tom’s request there will be no services but in lieu of flowers he did want donations made in his name to:
