Thomas W. Andres, 65

Thomas W. Andres, 65 years, of Bryan, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice, Defiance. Tom was born November 7, 1950 in Bryan, Ohio, the son of the late Ralph B. and Leada D. (Penrod) Andres. He was a 1969 graduate of Stryker High School and then went on to attend The Ohio State University. Tom worked for Sauder Woodworking for 34 years, retiring in December 2015. Tom was a sweet and gentle man, who had a soft spoken spirit. He showed kindness to everyone and especially loved kids. In his free time he could often be found at local restaurants spending time with friends and people who he considered family. Tom admitted that he did his grocery shopping at Welcome Home and Shaffer’s Restaurants.

Surviving are his two children, Tiffanie (Todd) Frahm of Temecula, California and Heath Karnes of Montpelier, Ohio; two grandchildren, Alaja Frahm and Olivia Karnes; two brothers, Robert (Norma) Andres of Bryan, Ohio and Don (Geri) Andres of Rolla, Missouri; two sisters, Judy Hire of Bryan, Ohio and Marcia Woolace of Pulaski, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Loretta Andres; one brother-in-law, Duane Robertson and 21 nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dale Andres; two sisters, Dee Robertson and Linda Brown; one brother-in-law, Gene Brown; grandparents, Leo and Mada Penrod and Alfred and Edith Andres

Visitation for Thomas W. Andres will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2016, in the Oberlin Turnbull Funeral Home – Greenisen Chapel, 225 East High Street, Bryan, where a celebration of his life will be take place at 6:00 p.m. Monday with Pastors Samuel Andres and Alan Andres officiating. Interment will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in Brown Cemetery, Bryan, Ohio.
