Tony Weaver, 75

Anthony “Tony” W. Weaver, age 75, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Genesis Healthcare-Bryan Center. Tony was the fourth generation owner of Weaver Construction from 1970-1982 when the business was closed. He then worked as a project manager for Boyer Construction in Wauseon where he supervised the building of several churches. He then worked in the Bryan City Engineer’s office as Building Inspector until his retirement. Tony was a member of First Lutheran Church and a former member of the Bryan Rotary Club and Orchard Hills Country Club, where he loved to golf. He was active with the Bryan Athletic Boosters and enjoyed following his daughters in their sports careers.

Anthony W. Weaver was born January 27, 1940, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Robert and Mildred (Stevens) Weaver. He was a graduate of Bryan High School and earned a degree in Planning and Zoning from Chicago Technical College in 1963. Tony married Alma L. Bly on May 6, 1961 and she survives. Tony is also survived by his daughters, Polly A. Weaver, of Bryan and Jennifer L. Weaver, of Euclid, Ohio; a sister, Linda (Lyle) Freed, of Bryan and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Timothy W. Weaver.

Private graveside services were held at Fountain Grove Cemetery in Bryan with Pastor Mary Beth Smith-Gunn officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio 43506.
