Town hall meeting about drug epidemic offers help

The drug problem in northwest Ohio is the topic of a town hall event to be held next week. The event is planned for Ottawa and features a panel of law enforcement, recovering drug addicts and family members, plus representatives from the Ohio Department of Health and the general public. The event is free and begins Monday at 6 p.m. at the Putnam County Educational Service Center. All the participants want to offer support for those who are affected by addiction. One police chief said law enforcement needs to provide education and rehab, not just locking people up. He said the community must get involved if the problem is going to be solved. Again, the event is Monday, 6 p.m. in Ottawa at the Putnam County Education Service Center.
