Williams County sheriff, Steve Towns is charged with three misdemeanors related to confidential child abuse reports Towns released online in October 2018. The charges, filed in Bryan Municipal Court, include one count of improperly disclosing confidential information and two counts of improperly releasing child abuse reports. It all stems from complaints against the Bryan City Schools administration and the Williams County Department of Jobs and Family Services.
