Bryan police found the deadly synthetic opioid fentanyl during a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon in the 900 block of East High Street. A Multi-Area Narcotics Task Force representative said during a phone interview Thursday afternoon with local media that they detained three people and seized suspected narcotics… It was tested and proved positive for fentanyl. Fentanyl has been linked to the death of singer Prince and is a medical-grade anesthetic considered to be more than 50 times more powerful than heroin. 25-year-old Seth Resendez of 328 East High St., was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance. The incident remains under investigation with additional charges pending, according to the agent in charge.
