Traveling on U.S. 24 in Defiance and Paulding counties may remain a bit of a challenge at times until September 2025. That’s because a lengthy process to repair the concrete pavement and replace it with asphalt over an 11-mile stretch is ongoing as is the repair of a few eroded embankments. The $33.6 million repair project is underway from just east of Baltimore Street in Defiance to just west of U.S. 127 in Paulding County.
