A trial is underway in Fulton County Common Pleas Court where 29 year old Devon Harris is charged with murder among other charges in the death of a 3-year-old in 2022. Jury selection for the trial took more than five hours, but the 12 jurors, and two alternates were chosen, leaving just enough time for opening statements on the first day of the trial. According to the Bryan Times, Paul Kennedy, assistant prosecutor for Fulton County, said the state’s case alleges Harris, who is not the child’s father but was living with the family as he was the boyfriend of her mother, was watching the child and her brother on Aug. 2, 2022, when the child suffered multiple traumatic injuries.
