A semi truck was slammed by a train. It happened Saturday afternoon in the village of Leipsic.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office says just before 1 Saturday afternoon, the truck was traveling on County Road 5, north of Ohio 613 when it slid on the roadway and ran into the Norfolk and Southern train.
The driver, whose name was unavailable, was transported to the Ambulatory Care Center, Ottawa. The driver’s name and other information has not been released. No word on that driver’s condition today.
