True “Paul” Ridgway, age 81, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Community Health Professionals Impatient Hospice near Defiance. Paul was an electrician and partner in Ridgway Brothers Electric. He was a member of the IBEW Local 13. Paul was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and earned several medals, including the Purple Heart. Throughout the years, he devoted a lot of his time to his local church. Most recently, he attended the Family Christian Center in Defiance. Paul was passionate about following his grandsons’ sports.
True “Paul” Ridgway was born on June 26, 1932, in West Unity, Ohio, the son of Charles Fremont and Audra Luella (Connelly) Ridgway. He married Victoria Juarez in Bryan on October 20, 1956 and she survives. Paul is also survived by his children, Barbara Ridgway, of Bryan, Jeff (Gina) Ridgway, of Bryan, and Rebecca (Bob) Snow, of Wauseon and his grandsons, Zach Ridgway, of Bryan, Dustin Snow, of Wauseon, Dexter Ridgway and Drew Ridgway, both of Bryan. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Gerald, Reginald, Kenneth and Freddie Ridgway.
Funeral services for True “Paul” Ridgway will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor Michael Wengerd officiating. Burial at Fountain Grove Cemetery will follow the service. Grave side military honors will be provided by Bryan VFW Post 2489. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00P.M. at the funeral home.
