Two car crash near Ayersville injures four

According to the Defiance post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, at 5:45 p.m. Friday, a vehicle driven by 55 year old Gary Owens of Oakwood, was southbound on Dohoney Road near Ayersville and failed to yield at Bowman Road, colliding with an eastbound vehicle driven by 48 year old Melvelynn Rue of Defiance. Owens’ vehicle continued off the side of Bowman Road, while Rue’s vehicle continued off the road and struck a traffic sign. Also injured were Owens’ passenger, 43 year old Misty Owens of Oakwood and 13 year old Sierra Owens of Oakwood. They were transported to area hospitals with injuries as was Rue. Owens was cited for failure to yield.
