Two Hurt In DC Crash

In Defiance County…the Highway Patrol is investigating a serious injury crash on CR 13, north of CR J. Officials tell reporters Ethan Pontious, 16, of Montpelier, was northbound when he loses control and careens off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle hits a mailbox and rolls several times. Pontious was ejected from the vehicle. The front seat passenger, Landon Rodriguez, of Montpelier, was also thrown from the wreckage. Pontius and Rodriguez were flown to a Fort Wayne hospital. The crash remains under investigation.
