The United Way of Williams County is embarking on a campaign to raise $18,000 for its upcoming Feeding Williams County food packaging event. Fundraising started Wednesday and runs through April 1 at participating county businesses. About two dozen businesses have signed up to participate and others may be added in the coming weeks, according to Jamie Vonalt, executive assistant at United Way of Williams County. The campaign is unique in that individuals can visit participating businesses and either add $1 or more to their sale, or donate at least a dollar to the United Way’s campaign.
