A Van Wert County woman suffers critical injuries Thursday evening after a downed tree crashes into her home, trapping her, officials tell reporters. Rick McCoy, director of the Van Wert County Emergency Management Agency, confirms…responders freed her. She is taken to an area hospital. Another person also suffered injuries in the incident. The woman’s granddaughter, who is also a local EMT, says her grandparents were sitting on their back porch when the tree fell down, leaving the grandmother trapped.
