Van Wert Rib Fest features ribs, pigs, and musical gigs

This is worth the drive. The 10th annual Van Wert Rib Fest. With rib vendors from our area, and from as far away as Pittsburg, there’s something for everyone. Along with food, there’s a beer tent, Jubliee Winery will have wine tasting and wine smoothies, there’s also live music, fun for kids, cornhole, a cruise-in car show, even a live pig race on Saturday at 4 p.m. Also, the United Way has a hilarious fundraiser called “When Pigs Fly.” People buy or adopt plastic pigs and they are dropped from overhead and the one closest to the target gets a prize and the one farthest from the target gets a prize.
