Velma Myers, 106 years, of Hicksville, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Hicksville, Ohio. Velma was born November 05, 1913 in Mark Center, Ohio, the daughter of the late Henry and Frieda (Miller) Vogelsong. She attended Mark Center High School, Mark Center, Ohio. On March 10, 1937, Velma was united in marriage to Russell Myers and he preceded her in death on August 09, 2008. For many years, Velma was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hicksville, Ohio.
Velma was also preceded in death by her two daughters: Lois Myers and Ruth Myers.
To honor Velma’s wishes, no services will be held, and she will be laid to rest privately in Six Corners Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Hicksville, Ohio.
