Voters in Defiance County turn down two levy requests Tuesday.

Voters in Defiance County said no to a property levy for the county’s victims assistance program during Tuesday’s election. The countywide 0.25-mill levy for victims assistance was rejected by 56% of voters, and would have generated approximately $345,000 annually for the agency.

Voters in Hicksville rejected a 2.6-mill, five-year levy contingency levy proposed by village officials to offset a potential loss in unvoted millage provided by the state.
