Watch for highway barrier work on I-69

The Indiana Department of Transportation has a heads up this morning. Motorists can expect median work with occasional lane restrictions on I-69. They will be doing cable barrier installation, along I-69 in various locations. Daily work will be done weather permitting. Some daytime and overnight lane restrictions may be needed throughout the project. Cable barrier systems are life-saving traffic devices ideally suited for use in existing medians to prevent cross-over crashes. Cable barriers absorb collision forces and reduce the impact on vehicle occupants.
