Waterloo man facing multiple charges after high speed chase

21 year-old Damian Patrick of Waterloo was arrested after he drove by a police officer parked in the 100 block of Industrial Drive in Angola. The officer followed Patrick down several city streets as he drove over the speed limit. Patrick allegedly was driving at speeds of over 70 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone on North Wayne Street, weaving in the roadway. The pursuit continued a short time in and around Angola involving several police departments The chase ended when Patrick drove into a rural yard where he ultimately surrendered. Patrick is facing multiple traffic and drug charges and was arraigned Wednesday morning where bail is set at $5,000.
