A Wauseon man charged in Fulton County Common Pleas Court with the fatal stabbing of his father in 2023 has entered a not guilty by reason of insanity plea. 27 year old Jose Aguilera-Cespedes entered the plea to charges of murder, felonious assault, possessing criminal tools, and domestic violence. He was referred to the Court Diagnostic Treatment Center in Toledo for an evaluation. The charges allege that on Aug. 12, 2023 Aguilera-Cespedes fatally stabbed his father, 64 year old Edwin Aguilera, with a knife and injured his mother, Candeleria Cespedes De Aguilera, at their home in Wauseon.
