With the successful demolition and reuse of its first blighted property, the Williams County Land Bank wants more parcels to rehabilitate. Board member, Vicki Grimm is asking county residents to alert the land bank if they either have a residence or see a property that is abandoned and appears in need of repairs. The bank has funds and may be able to rehabilitate the house if it meets its criteria. The land bank is seeking to take possession of at least 20 qualified proprieties by November. Later in other news, Grimm told Williams County Commissioners the county’s interest income is continuing its recent upward trend. As of June 30, interest income is about $88,340, or about double what it was during the same period four years ago.
