The Defiance City Council defers a decision on possible medicinal marijuana facilities during its meeting. Assistant city law director, Sean O’Donnell explained the provisions of the new medicinal marijuana law, approved by the Ohio General Assembly last year. Cities are now in the process of deciding which companies are licensed to cultivate marijuana and dispense it. Several councilmen oppose the establishment of these companies in Defiance.
