Wesley M. Mielke, age 65, of Edon, Ohio, died at 7:54 P.M. on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, after an exteded illness. Mr. Mielke was a1970 graduate of Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Indiana, and served in the United States Army from 1975-1978. He was employed as a Readi-mix driver by Fidler Inc. and then by Aggregate Inc. for thirty-one years and was a member of Teamsters Local #414 in Fort Wayne. He was also a member of the Angola American Legion, enjoyed old cars and going to car shows, and was a fan of NASCAR racing. He and his wife also owned and operated the Camden Café for the last six years in Camden, Michigan.
Wesley M. Mielke was born on January 2, 1952, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the son of Richard M. and Kathryn (Killworth) Mielke. He married Janice Lee Payne on June 10, 1973, in Angola, and she survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter, Angelique Mielke, of Waterloo, Indiana; one son, Shawn Richard Michael (Amber) Mielke, of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Tim, Amanda, Dakota, Kyrstin, Erieanna and Dakota; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Dan (Dawn) Mielke, of Vienna, Virginia; one sister, Debbie Kamp, of Raymondville, Missouri; and a stepsister, Shelley Householder, of Pleasant Lake, Indiana.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Wesley Mielke will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 1:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon, Ohio with Pastors Don Lee and Eric Dailey officiating. Private interment will take place in Billingstown Cemetery.
