A single car crash early Sunday morning killed a West Leipsic woman. The coroner’s office says 48-year-old Shelley Bennett died shortly in the crash on Putnam County Road 7 near County Road D and went into a ditch. The crash was reported just after 1 a.m. in a 911 call to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. Bennett was alone in the vehicle. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
