WEST UNITY MAN FOUND GUILTY OF WEAPONS VIOLATIONS

45 year old Anthony W. McCoy of West Unity was found guilty Fri­day after a two (2) day trial, by a Williams County Jury of Hav­ing Weapons While Under Dis­abil­ity, a felony of the third degree. Accord­ing to Pros­e­cu­tors, McCoy was orig­i­nally indicted in Decem­ber for know­ingly acquir­ing, hav­ing, car­ry­ing or using a firearm. Mr. McCoy had been pre­vi­ously con­victed of a vio­lent felony.

McCoy is sched­uled for sen­tenc­ing on June 13th.
