Whitley County Lockdown

Schools in Whitley County enact security measures after police receive a report of a person with a gun in a neighborhood. Columbia City Police received a report about a man walking along Line Street carrying what appeared to be an AR-15 rifle. Eagle Tech Academy, Mary Raber Elementary, and Columbia City High School were placed under lockdowns. It was learned that a man had been carrying a paintball gun. Police found no threat to the schools or safety concerns…the lockdowns were lifted soon after.
