Williams County commissioners decided to proceed with a roundabout project at a county crossroads after discussion Tuesday morning. Williams County Engineer Todd Roth gave an explanation of the project’s origins. According to Roth, a few years ago, the Ohio Department Of Transportation found multiple crashes over a three-mile stretch of County Road 13, particularly at the intersection of County Roads 13 and G. The county was eligible for a $3.9 million grant for the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of 13 and G after the engineer’s office requested a safety study, which ODOT paid for in significant part.
