WILLIAMS COUNTY NATIVE TO SPEAK AT NSCC COMMENCEMENT

Dr. Mar­cia Sloan Latta will be the fea­tured speaker dur­ing North­west State Com­mu­nity College’s forty-third com­mence­ment cer­e­mony on Sat­ur­day, May 11.

A native of Williams County, Latta began her career as a con­gres­sional aide and then did vol­un­teer work in Costa Rica before begin­ning her career in the field of advance­ment. She cur­rently oper­ates a con­sult­ing firm, Latta Strate­gies, and also serves on the board of direc­tors for Farm­ers & Mer­chants State Bank.

Latta has over twenty-five years of expe­ri­ence in phil­an­thropic lead­er­ship. Under her guid­ance, Bowl­ing Green State University’s cen­ten­nial cam­paign raised nearly $150 mil­lion, the largest fundrais­ing effort in north­west Ohio his­tory. She has also served as a vol­un­teer for numer­ous civic causes.

Dr. Latta and her hus­band, Bob, live in Bowl­ing Green with their two daugh­ters.

The com­mence­ment cer­e­mony will rec­og­nize 476 grad­u­ates. The cer­e­mony will take place out­side, north of the Atrium, at 2 p.m.
