Williams County Sheriff’s K-9 Max tracks down elderly woman with Alzheimers

Williams County Sheriff’s K-9 Max, the 10 year old German shepherd partner of Deputy Scott Shuping is still on his game. The Bryan Times reports Max and Shuping responded to a missing person report at 5:09 a.m. Thursday in the 600 block of County Road 9, Bryan. An elderly woman with Alzheimer’s reportedly climbed out of her bedroom window sometime after 9 p.m. Wednesday. He followed the scent north to the back side of the house, then around the east side of the garage. From there, he lead Shuping west into a neighbor’s yard and north again. They eventually found the woman 21 minutes later, standing behind a tree in another neighbor’s yard. Deputy Mic Frisbie made contact and escorted her home safely.
